Sen. Ruth Johnson comments on death of Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Ruth Johnson, R-Holly, issued the following statement after the death of Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson:

“Brooks was a great advocate for economic growth in our county, and he will be sorely missed by the business leaders in our community that he supported so passionately. He was a visionary with Automation Alley, which revolutionized commerce in our communities and spread to other counties because it was such a tremendous brand.

“Brooks always had a knack for hiring great people. He surrounded himself with smart, hardworking people who have done an excellent job for Oakland County. I think in that way especially, Brooks really laid the groundwork for Oakland County’s continued success.

“My deepest sympathies go out to Brooks’ family, friends, colleagues, and constituents. May he rest in peace.”
