LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Ruth Johnson, R-Holly, welcomed Dr. Mary Marshall and her husband, John Marshall, to the Capitol on Wednesday night as her guests for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s 2026 State of the State address.

Dr. Marshall, MD, RN, FAAFP, is the 2025 Michigan Family Physician of the Year. She is also a clinical professor at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine and has a practice in Grand Blanc.
